I joined Hall Livesey Brown in 1996 as an accounts junior with no accounting knowledge or experience.  I quickly grew a passion for accounting and particularly enjoyed working closely with clients assisting with their business needs and providing a personal and dedicated service.

Knowing this was the career for me, I started to study towards my Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification in 1997 and then went on to study towards becoming a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) qualifying in 2009.  I went on to qualified as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant (ACA) in 2013.

I worked my way up through the firm gaining a vast amount of knowledge and experience before becoming audit and accounts manager and then achieving my ambition of becoming a partner of the firm in 2013.  I now oversee the firms finances along with looking after a diverse portfolio of SME clients, incorporating limited companies, partnerships, and individuals, providing them with business and taxation advice.

I have over 20 year experience in advising clients on all aspects of business, from tax efficient remuneration planning, research and development tax relief, exit and succession planning for the family business, capital allowance claims and tax-efficient holding structures.

I have a passion for business and like to take time to think about clients’ circumstances and suggest ways of improving profitability and reducing tax. This is vital in providing a professional service for today’s businesses, it is not just about preparing a set of accounts and tax computations – clients want sound, practical business advice. I am always focused 100% on my clients and thinking of ways to help them achieve their ambitions and growth plans.

I have a particular passion for working with new business start-ups. It can be such a stressful time setting up in business which is why I like to work closely with the client to advise on the best company structure as well as the financial aspects of running a successful and profitable business, and to ensure they are fully tax compliant.
