Nicola Huntbach

Partner

FCCA, ACA, AAT

My career started at Hall Livesey Brown Tarporley in 2005 as an accounts junior studying for the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification before training as a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA). I have since qualified as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant (ACA).

During my time at Hall Livesey brown, I have gained extensive experience across all aspects of operations, having enjoyed working my way through the ranks over the years from book keeping and VAT, progressing to complex accounts preparation for Group entities and managing audits. I have developed a varied skill set due to my exposure to complex accounting and tax issues.

I place a strong emphasis on maintaining client relationships; I pride myself that my clients know they can contact me directly and I remain hands on with accounts and taxation affairs of every one of my clients.

My portfolio of clients is diverse ranging from sole practitioners and partnerships, to multi-million-pound groups of companies.

My specialism is advising and supporting farming and rural businesses. I have looked after our agricultural clients since 2012. Agricultural businesses face unique challenges which is reflected by the fact HM Revenue and Customs recognises agriculture as a specialist industry. It is vital farming and rural businesses are provided with a service underpinned by specialist technical knowledge and practical understanding of their businesses.

I have a rapport with my farmers and a real understanding of their issues. Therefore the advice I give, whether that is preparing or interpreting financial reports, tax planning advice or estate planning, inheritance tax, capital gains tax or personal tax, it is based on my first-hand knowledge of running a business in this sector.

I am proud to be a partner at Hall Livesey Brown and feel privileged to be part of such a well-established, personal, friendly firm, who’s values we strive to maintain and one that always puts client interests first.
